The fact that May is behind us feels like a victory. I always describe May as December without a holiday. The madness is real, and every year I gear up, hunker down, and just keep taking it one day at a time until it is over….Read More
Goodbye, Winter! Hello, Spring!
It is warm. It is sunny. And it is time for a new batch of favorite things, this time from the month of April. Most of these things are inspired by things I love about this season, and a few of them come from the reality of life…which is always the best place to find inspiration!Read More
February is such a great month. Winter. Groundhog Day. Valentine’s Day. And four very symmetrical weeks.
February is also the fastest month, and this year it felt particularly quick. Granted, I had a lot going on, but I felt like the pages of my calendar just flew straight from January to March. Whoosh…
Amidst the flurry of pink hearts and tiny cakes, I did manage to compile a few of my favorites from this month.

The last time I wrote a My Favorites post was back in July, when the Ina In A Year project was just a glimmer of an idea and my life had not turned into a hurricane of cooking. Ah, those were the days.
I have missed writing these posts! I constantly find new things (or rediscover old things) that I want to share with you, and so I am bringing them back in 2019. With one small change. These posts, at least in the short run, will not be video posts. I lack the margin to film, edit, and upload video right now. I know this will change, and when it does, I will explore that as an option.
For now, I am going to write and link about my monthly favorites here on the blog. AND, I will also do a Story on Instagram and save it as a highlight so that you can see these items in a bit more detail. Cool? Cool.

Are you having a good summer? I hope the answer is yes.
I'm having an okay summer. To be honest, I am ready for things to return to "normal." I'm ready for normal weather, normal routine, normal traffic at Hurley House. The break has been a nice respite, but I'm ready to go.
This episode of My Favorites is all over the map, but full of things I discovered (or rediscovered) this month that have impacted my life. I hope you enjoy the video! Links and details are listed below the clip!Read More
Happy Last Day of Quarter Two! Are you impressed with my business lingo? Cool.
For real though, June is done. All gone. Which means, in sad news, summer is quickly disappearing. But in happy news, it is time for the June edition of my favorite things!Read More
Did you have a busy May? Me too. My May was full of the usual end-of-school-year events, plus we celebrated Timm's grandfather's 100th birthday, worked on getting Hurley House ready for summer, and launched the blog!
Along the way, I found a few favorite things that caught my eye, and I am sharing them with you in the video at the end of this post.Read More
